Insects. #7

Hi everyone, welcome back to our insect series. Today we have a “flower fly”, toxomerus marginatus species. There are quite a number of different flower flies but without a specific name for each species so are differentiated by their Latin names. No idea why that is though. Many flower flies look like bees or wasps and it can be very hard to tell the difference. This tiny flower fly is about 3/8 inch long and can be found from July to September. Have a great day everyone and God bless!

    • Looks like it could be a bee and yet it’s a fly, a small fly. I didn’t think I would be able to get a good picture of it because it’s so small and he kept flying when I got too close! Thanks so much Simon! Have a good, um, morning!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ“ท๐Ÿ˜บโ˜”โ˜”
