For a smile as wide as a country sunrise

Hello to everyone on this somewhat snowy morning here at Steve’s Country. Muffin just never seems to enjoy sitting at the window when it’s snowing. I don’t blame her for that. Even though it can look quite beautiful to see the new snow covering everything to give the landscape a fresh white look, by this time of the winter it can be a little much. Kind of discouraging to see more snow being added when by this time it would be nice to have that snow melting away instead. With the beauty of spring returning to the north. However, that won’t happen for a while yet. But Muffin is happy however. Remember I mentioned her boyfriend, Scrappy, was sick? Well, it wasn’t quite as serious as thought. Still, it’s not the best, he has diabetes. So his human has to give him needles each day and check his blood sugar. I can just imagine me doing that to Muffin. I would be getting the needles instead!
Okay, back to the art in nature pics which today will take on a wintry scene with some frosty landscape…

Heavy frost covered all the trees last week for a couple days which did give the landscape a lovely look indeed.
It even decorated the bare twigs and branches of the smaller shrubs.
Well, that is our picks of pics for today’s look at art in nature. It would have been even nicer if the sun had been shining, but by the time the sun came out briefly 3 days later, the frost was gone. Anyway, enjoy your day and God bless!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all doing well today. If not then maybe these pics today will help you to feel a bit better. There’s nothing like bright, sunny summer pics to lift our spirits and give us some fresh hope in the beauty that is all around us. Just sometimes it’s a little hard to see some of that beauty because it’s covered with 3 feet (about 1 meter) of snow. At least up in the northern parts of the world. We are fortunate this winter, we don’t have much snow at all so far. There is only about a foot or so (about 30cm) on the ground right now. We have had more snow than that, but it does settle after a bit so it’s not so deep. And today it’s not only cloudy again, but there is some fresh snow falling as well. Not a lot, but it keeps adding to what we have.
But instead of snow, let’s look at some summer pics today…

Here is a bee enjoying itself on a nice pink hollyhock flower with the sun shining from behind.
And here is a two toned pink peony. Dark pink around the edge and light pink in the middle of the flower.
Two nice pink and sunny flowers for our enjoyment today. I hope you all have a marvelous day and God bless!
