Flowering Trees. #3

  1. Love the contrast of the three trees in the first photo. The flowers probably attract bees. They are beautiful. Thank you, Steve, for sharing.

Your weather seems pretty inconsistent. Where I live in the Far North, it has been very cool. Until a few days ago, the warmest it had gotten was the low 50’s F, with frost at night. Yesterday, it got up to the mid 70’s F and it felt extremely hot. Our saving grace is the midnight sun and 24 hours of daylight.

    • Actually those are branches from a cherry tree that were grafted into the apple tree about 30 years ago when they were young. I talked to the man who did it and he just wanted to experiment and see if it would work and it did.😃🌸

We went from well below normal temps to well above normal and now we are going back to well below normal again for about 10 days with rain nearly every day coming up. We have had some severe storms last night and today with heavy rain, strong wind, hail and at least one tornado last night about 10 miles away.😱

      • The man who did the cherry graft was brilliant.

Your weather sounds a little dangerous. Tornados are not fun. At least you shouldn’t get any forest fires.
We have definitely had a cold start to our summer but fire danger is still high. Rather have rain than thick smoke.

      • Yes, I agree with you about that!

It has been rather violent weather lately with 3 tornado warnings for us this year so far and two that actually touched down. We do get tornadoes here but not often and can go several years without them. Yes, the forests are soaked right now with several inches of rain the last couple of days. It has turned very cool now, actually necessary to wear a jacket! Yes, rain is better than all that smoke.
